A great 4-star hotel in the centre of a charming Cotswolds town!
This will be our third 'duplicate only' bridge break and is aimed at confident intermediate-plus and advanced players. The bridge programme will include duplicate sessions, lessons on duplicate tactics as well as tutorials including one going over the interesting hands from the previous evening’s duplicate. Dinah Stocken will be joining the group.
This handsome honey-stone hotel is set across a row of four properties in the heart of one of the region’s most beautiful towns, Chipping Campden. It is a gloriously rambling establishment, partly housed in a landmark building with a well-regarded spa at the end of a pretty garden. Completely refurbished in 2016, modern styling offsets original features of old beams and fire- places in this luxury boutique hotel. We will be playing bridge in the high-ceilinged Montrose Suite which is spacious with plenty of natural light. Expect excellent service, friendly staff and a warm welcome. We think that December will be a good time to visit Chipping Campden, all lit up for Christmas with some wonderful independent shops, perfect for present-buying plus a very nice spa to indulge yourself.

Most of the 28 bedooms are spread over three floors in the main building, though six are in the garden. They overlook the gardens or the high street and are all shapes and sizes, mainly furnished in soothing greens, browns and duck egg blue. All bedrooms have satellite televisions, free wifi and tea and coffee making facilities; some have a fireplace. En-suite bathrooms have Eco-Boutique products; some have shower-only; the others have tubs and showers in various permutations; one has a bath in the bedroom. NB There is no lift but there are five ground-floor rooms suitable for the less mobile, although not fully wheelchair accessible.
