Our Top Tip

Visit Chipping Campden Christmas market on Saturday 2nd Dec!

Bridge in Chipping Campden

We are running two bridge breaks back-to-back with the first one a 'regular' break, aimed at more social bridge players while the duplicate break is aimed at confident intermediate-plus and advanced players.

We are offering a 15% discount on the full price if you book both breaks together, making it a 4-night stay, even if you have never been on a StockenBridge Break before. This is regardless of when you book.

As always with our bridge holidays, the bridge will be friendly and we insist that players must show courtesy and good manners to their partner and to other players at the table. No partner is needed to come on this holiday, but please be aware that, while we will always do our best to find you a suitable partner, we may be very limited in choice. The Stockens will always be available to partner up guests where needed.

COTSWOLD HOUSE HOTEL

This handsome honey-stone hotel is set across a row of four properties in the heart of one of the region’s most beautiful towns, Chipping Campden. It is a gloriously rambling establishment, partly housed in a landmark building with a well-regarded spa at the end of a pretty garden. Completely refurbished in 2016, modern styling offsets original features of old beams and fire-places in this luxury boutique hotel. We will be playing bridge in the high-ceilinged Montrose Suite which is spacious with plenty of natural light. Expect excellent service, friendly staff and a warm welcome. December is a lovely time to visit Chipping Campden, all lit up for Christmas with some wonderful independent shops, perfect for present-buying. There is also a very nice spa to indulge yourself.

Bedrooms

Most of the 28 bedooms are spread over three floors in the main building, though six are in the garden. They overlook the gardens or the high street and are all shapes and sizes, mainly furnished in soothing greens, browns and duck egg blue. All bedrooms have satellite televisions, free wifi and tea and coffee making facilities. En-suite bathrooms have Eco-Boutique products; some have shower-only; the others have tubs and showers in various permutations; one has a bath in the bedroom.

NB There is no lift but there are five ground-floor rooms for the less mobile, although not wheelchair accessible and three are outside the main building in the garden. There are small steps throughout the hotel.
