Many Souths relied on luck to make their 6 contract, finessing unsuccessfully in trumps then having to guess where the Queen of Diamonds was. Some got it right, some didn’t. Of course, luck should not come into it. South wins whatever West leads, lays down the Ace of Hearts and ruffs two clubs and two spades. He then plays a trump and whoever has the King of Trumps is end-played, either leading a diamond and giving declarer a free finesse, or giving him a ruff and discard.
